Trends in Private Wealth: 22.6% Asset Allocation to Alternatives Explained

Publiktoday.com Private wealth investors, like wealth managers and family offices, allocate an average of 22.6% of their assets to alternative investments. Single family offices with smaller assets under management tend to invest more heavily in alternatives compared to larger wealth managers. The most popular alternative investments are private equity and venture capital, followed by real estate and hedge funds.These alternative investments rank third in importance for private wealth investors, behind equities (43.4%) and fixed income (30.8%).
