Publiktoday.com  Despite its production being officially halted in May 2022, searches for the iPod remain high. The gadget, initially introduced by Steve Jobs, continues to attract consumer interest worldwide.

Monitoring conducted by Publiktoday on Google Trends on Thursdays (July 25) shows that searches for the iPod are still significant. The search scores for this music device are in the range of 80-100 for the top five rankings. Canada ranks first with a score of 100, followed by the United States with 96, Australia with 91, the United Kingdom with 82, and New Zealand with 81.

These findings indicate that even though the iPod is no longer produced, it still holds a strong appeal for consumers. The popularity of the iPod may be influenced by nostalgia and its reputation as a revolutionary music player in its time.

Steve Jobs' introduction of the iPod initially brought a significant change to the digital music industry. The iPod allowed users to carry thousands of songs in a small, portable device, making it extremely popular among music enthusiasts.

However, with the advancement of technology and the emergence of smartphones with sophisticated music player features, the popularity of the iPod began to decline. Apple (AAPL) subsequently decided to discontinue its production in May 2022. Nonetheless, the device remains remembered and sought after by many, as evidenced by the high search numbers on Google Trends.

The high searches for the iPod may also reflect consumers' interest in classic and retro products with historical and sentimental value. The iPod, as one of Apple's iconic products, remains an important part of technological and pop culture history.***
